Andrea Beard: Practice Manager
Andrea is our practice manager. She has over 25 years of experience in optics as receptionist and optical assistant. She also has some experience working in the manufacturing sector of optics. Andrea has been a staff member since 2009.
In 2013 she achieved her Diploma in Optical Retailing from the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers.
Ruth Ritchie: Optometrist
Ruth Ritchie BSc (Hons) MC Optom studied at Cardiff University and graduated in 2000. She has worked in both multiple and independent practices since then, providing a wide range of experience in both eye examinations and contact lens care. Her approach is very patient led with a clinical focus, and she is very experienced in examining children and patients with additional needs.
Nicole Hakim: Optometrist
Nicole Hakim BSc (Hons) MC Optom graduated with an honours degree in Optometry from UMIST, Manchester in 1993. With over 25 years working in both the independent optical field and larger multiple chains, her experience spans across all aspects of optometry including cataract, age related macular degeneration, glaucoma, paediatrics and early detection of eye diseases with latest techniques such as OCT.
Sandra Hampson: Optical Assistant
Sandra has worked in optics for many years, starting at our sister practice in St Albans in 2004. She has been a staff member with us since 2022.
Sandra works part time on reception and pre-screening.
Angelika Rogalewicz: Optical Assistant
Angelika joined our team in March 2025.
She has previously worked in another independent practice.
She is enjoying her work with us and is adding to her skills in optics.
Kerrie Howard: Dispensing Optician
Kerrie is our dispensing optician. She started working with us in January 2023.
Following many years working as an optical assistant Kerrie trained as a dispensing optician, gaining her qualifications in Summer 2024.
She is currently on maternity leave and will be returning to work in early 2026.
